Apter Development create a new approach to enhancing inter and intra organisational alignment

Apter Development create a new approach to enhancing inter and intra organisational alignment and collaboration (September 2016)

Structured Alignment Building (SAB) is a new approach created by Apter Development to deepen the capacity for different stakeholder groups to work together effectively. Increasingly working arrangements need to be built that ensure effective collaboration between parties which simultaneously may also be in competition or even conflict with each other. These might include: joint ventures; cross-business and cross-department change projects; effective partnership arrangements; and even situations where competitors are drawn together in pursuit of mutual self-interest.

The potential for conflict and disharmony in such relationships is significant – sometimes this is overt and escalates into crisis, more of often it remains below-the-surface causing poor decision making, ineffective implementation, and a waste of time, effort and investment. We believe Structured Alignment Building, which blends our high-end facilitation approach with skills and techniques developed as accredited mediators with Civil Mediation Council, offers a powerful way of reducing the huge costs of hidden, unresolved and ongoing conflict.
