Simple ways to develop your team.

Developing your team doesn't need to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money - give it a go and see the difference it can make!

1. Review

After a meeting with a customer/other function have a 5 minute review with your team - what went well, what didn't go so well, what will we do differently

2. Ask Questions

Get in the habit of asking great questions like 'how could we make this even better?'; 'how could this be easier?', 'what else could we do?', 'why is this important?'

3. Catch people doing things right

Think what you want people in your team to do more of and catch them doing it - give positive feedback so they know this is what you want more of

4. Encourage curiosity

Curiosity is a great driver for learning and development.  Set everyone a challenge to find out something about a customer/a competitor/a product/a technology and to share it around the team - you could have a simple prize for the most interesting 'factoid'
